They are highly popular as a late-night snack or quick meal on the go throughout much of Europe,but how did they get here? At 26, Kadir Nurman emigrated from Turkey to stuttgart in 1960 as part of a major initiative in West Germany at the time to increase its labor force. six years later, Nurman came to Berlin to work in the printing business but quickly noticed that there weren't many substantial options for busy German workers looking to eat lunch on the go. Deriving his idea for the doner kebab as we know it today from the typical meal of Turkish royalty consisting of meat or chicken skewers served on a plate with rice and vegetables
The sliced meat of a doner kebab may be served on a plate with various accompaniments, stuffed into a pita or other type of bread as a sandwich, or wrapped in a thin flatbread such as lavash or filo,known as a durum (literally meaning roll or wrap in Turkish).Nurman in the early 1970s introduced the sandwich or wrap from , which has become popular around the world as a fast food dish sold by kebab shops,and is often called simply a (kebab). lahmacun, is also known by people in other countries as Turkish-style pizza.
Lahmacun has been a widely consumed dish in Türkiye since the 1960s. However,
its history actually goes back much further. Furthermore, It has become a
favorite place for tourists visiting the country. Lahmacun is a Middle Eastern
flatbread topped with ground meat (most commonly beef or lamb), sliced
vegetables and herbs including onions, garlic, tomatoes, red peppers and
parsley, seasoned Add spices like chili and paprika, then grill. Lahmacun is
often wrapped around vegetables, including pickles, tomatoes, peppers, onions,
lettuce, parsley and grilled eggplant. Also, the traditional way to eat it is
to drink ayran with it.
Börek:
Borek is known as a kind of stuffed pastry prepared from yufka, a phyllo-like dough.it's crisp and flaky from the outside while tender and rich on the inside. while most of the time borek is baked, some borek vartities can be fried. similarly,it can bs baked in two ways: either in a single a large pan and later cut into pieces,or it can be baked in the from of individual pastries.borek can be savored hot right out of the oven or it can be eaten cold,making it an ideal snack for any time of the day.
Börek can be made into a savory or sweet pastry depending upon the
region it’s prepared. For instance, the Rize province of Turkey makes sweet börek with custard filling and powdered sugar dusting on top.
Similarly, the Sariyer district makes savory börek
shaped into small rolls, filled with minced meat, cheese, or vegetables. The
Sephardic börek is stuffed with tuna, chicken, peas, and
mushrooms, while the Bulgarian one is packed with sirene cheese, eggs, peppers,
and squash. Other popular stuffings for börek
